Staff Accreditation

All staff employed with Brighter Beginnings Learning Center participates within The Maryland Child Care Credential Program who recognizes child care providers who go beyond the requirements of State licensing and registration regulations. Brighter Beginnings learning Center Staff will complete training in various areas in order to develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide the highest quality care for the children and families we serve. The major goals of the credential program are to:

  1. Produce a well-qualified workforce

  2. Increase the overall quality of child care programs ensuring that all children enter school ready to succeed.

  3. Improve the status and increase compensation to child care providers a structure for professional growth through professional competencies.

Brighter Beginnings Learning Center adopts The Core of Knowledge training through the Maryland Credentialing Program. The Core of Knowledge is defined as theories and practices that are essential for individuals working in child care centers. The core of knowledge is divided into six major areas;

  • Health, Safety & Nutrition
  • Special Needs
  • Curriculum
  • Professionalism
  • Community

Learning Center's Accreditation

Brighter Beginnings Learning Center also participates within The Maryland Child Care Tiered Reimbursement Program in an effort to provide the highest quality of care to all children and parents.this accreditation is given to the learning center for its commitment to qualified trained staff and program excellence.

The major goals of the tiered reimbursement program are to:

  • Promote a well-qualified workforce
  • Promote a high level of program quality through the application of standards for program accreditation and environmental rating scales
  • Encourage parent involvement in child care settings.

Enrollment into the The Maryland Child Care Tiered Reimbursement Program will provide the foundation and continued growth for the National Association for the Education of Young Children ( NAEYC) accreditation .
